Marcelo Yakko Releases “Loop Life”

Argentine bassist Marcelo Yakko has released his fourth solo album, Loop Life.
Musically, the 15-track album reveals a musician who incorporates a wide range of his influences, from jazz fusion, to progressive rock, to more traditional Latin sounds. Conceptually, Yakko told us that the “message tries to capture the diverse moments and stages faced by the human being.”
Loop Life, which comes in a digipack version with book and a simple version, is available through Yakko’s Facebook page.

His extensive discography offers to the listeners a fascinating variety of styles such as rock, funk and progressive metal.
“Loop-Life“, his fourth solo album, is a 14-track work which, for sure, will lead us to an exciting trip along different kinds of melodies. Rock, jazz, metal progressive, all these styles intertwine with Argentinian folk rhythms are the main features of this album commanded by the electric bass as its “lead Voice”. Likewise, more than 20 musicians have been invited to take part in this venture. Para realizar la segunda edición de este ciclo viajamos a Villa Gesell, donde el bajista Marcelo Yakko nos abrió las puertas de su casa. Este músico de larga y variada trayectoria se encuentra presentando “Círculo de Vida“, un disco instrumental de su autoría producido totalmente de manera independiente.
Marcelo Yakko forjó su carrera musical casi íntegramente en Buenos Aires, hasta que, hace aproximadamente 7 años, decidió abandonar la Capital para instalarse en Villa Gesell junto con su familia. Quizá, motivado por el nuevo contexto, surgió la idea de componer “Círculo de Vida“.
